Well, November was pretty much a nothing month for me as far as working out or watching what I was eating. Before today, my last workout was November 3rd. It's amazing how quickly it can get away from you if you don't focus on getting in the gym the requisite 3 or 4 times a week. Today wasn't too bad though, my weigh in was 223 which is only 1 pound heavier from the last update here and I am pretty happy with that. My plan is to gradually get myself back into it by just doing cardio this week and then working the weights back into the mix starting next week. As long as I can focus on just getting in there I think that things will get back on track pretty quickly. We are looking at going on a vacation with friends in March of next year and I'd like to be able to hit the magic 200 number by then. That puts me at needing to lose around 2 pounds per week until then. Aggressive numbers for sure but I think I can do it. The Next goal will be 215 by January 1st. Off we go!

I guess the whole plateau thing is really true. Been keeping up with the 3-5 days per week workouts and trying to be good with food but cracking the 220 barrier is just not happening. Weight is currently at 222. I threw my body into a tizzy today though as I introduced a new workout routine and will follow this and see what happens...

This week so far I've been three for three on workouts. I've kicked it up a notch and have decided to shoot for the 600 calorie mark per workout as opposed to the original goal of 500. This means I'm on the elliptical for 28 minutes and then the treadmill for about 25 minutes at a pretty good clip. As long as I throw some good hills in there I can just hit 600 in under an hour. I'm reading a good book right now so it's working for me. I get so bored working out though that I'm always looking for something new to do. Last week I watched a few new TV episodes including the Office which was good, this week i'm reading which is not the easiest thing to do while trying to burn a lot of calories...

Well it is Monday so that means a jump on the scale prior to the daily workout. As you know weekends are my typical downfall so let's see how we fare this time. I'm going to make you click on the read more link for this one because after the weekend I really thought the result would be different than it was...

Well, I didn't work out at all for a week! Why, well I don't really have a good reason. I was busy, I was back and forth with the kids because of Barry's death, I was working late so I didn't go into the office. There are three but the bottom line is that I should have found the time and just did it. So, what are the results of 7 days with no working out and not really paying attention to my diet? I weighed in at 232 Today, setting me back about 2 weeks as I passed the 230 threshold about that long ago. Now it has to be get back on the wagon! This morning I had my cup of cereal with cup of milk and for lunch a healthy choice steamer and I've already gone to the gym and burned 350 Calories on the elliptical and 150 Calories on the treadmill so that is a great start! I am setting a goal this week of 5 days in the gym in stead of my usual 4 so we'll see how that goes and if I can burn 500 each time that should get me back on track fairly quickly. It's so easy to get sidetracked here on these things isn't it? The one bright light that I have in this is that when I wasn't working out I knew it, it was easy to skip but my guilt got me back in there today. Have a great week!
