Almost the end of February already?
Charlotte, North Carolina We've had quite the winter here in Charlotte.  Rarely do we get three really big (to us anyway) snowfall and accumulation days.  The last one we had was easily the prettiest and we had 4-6 inches that time.  The first night the snow was perfect for packing.  Jake has had quite the time in it.  We've made snow angels, had snowball fights and he even took the snow disk down the street all by himself!  We of course are still experiencing quite cold temperatures with usual nightly lows in the 20's so all of us are looking forward to warmer weather.  The good news is that this weekend we will see highs in the 50's so it will be warm enough to do some yard work which I desperately need to do.  I still can't believe that we are almost through the month of February , the time just seems to go by so fast.  Jake is going to be 5 this year, Kaylee will be 20 and Will is going to be 18, just incredible.  Me, I think I'm just going to stay 40 for the rest of my life, haha.

The Charlotte DMV "Express" Office
Charlotte, North Carolina My wife has this saying, "The DMV Is the great Equalizer".  What she means is that, at some point, everyone has to go to the DMV.  Now, I suppose if you never have to drive then maybe you can get through life without going but let's just say a large percentage of the population has to go at some point.  Now, usually people go on their birthdays right?  Me included, my license expires on Sunday which is my birthday so today was really the last day I could go before it expires...

Tim and Sarah Wedding Pictures are up!
Charlotte, North Carolina Well, my first attempt at an official photographer is over and I can honestly say it was NOT an easy job!  I did not get all of the shots that I wanted but I do think that a lot of them came out pretty well.  Overall I took slightly under 400 photos for almost 2 gigabytes worth of shots at 6 Megapixel with the Canon Rebel Digital XLR.  You can head over to the photo gallery and then look in other albums or take the easy road and just Click Here.  Enjoy!

A New Way to view Online Ads
Charlotte, North Carolina I found something that I think you will like. The company's name is YouData (youdata.com). They are trying to convince consumers like us that we should be the ones controlling our own data and selling our own attention, not third parties like broadcasters, newspapers, and spammers. By creating a MeFile at YouData.com, I now control what ads I see and when I see them. Best part - I am selling my attention directly to interested advertisers, for real money. That's right, I get paid for giving them my attention. I can use the funds to buy music and video online, donate to charities, give to my favorite blogs and websites, or keep the change myself and do whatever I want with it. It's real. They pay. You should check it out. Click this link to sign up. My MeFile ID, schoon, in the "Referral Code" will tell them I sent you. http://www.youdata.com/join/schoon

Play N Trade Retail Store Experience
Charlotte, North Carolina I went to the new Play N Trade today here in Charlotte to check out their prices and see how much they would offer me for six PSP Games that I had to trade in.  I joined their annual game club to get an extra 10% off and got about $30 for the games, about $5 each which I thought was a fair price as they are mostly last year's games.  I got two used Xbox 360 games and one used PSP game for the credits and am very happy with the experience.  They seem to have a nice selection of used games and also have the full retail new games if you want to buy those.  The best thing about the store is that any game on the shelf that you want to try they will put it in while you are in store and you can play as long as you like before you decide to buy.  I think I have found my new game store!
